LYNDEX ON TOUR
Two employees from Lyndex have completed the challenging Walkers’ Haute Route Trek. Walking the spine of the Alps from Chamonix to Zermatt passing Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn on route, Andy Woosnam and Lisa Breeze covered 42,000 ft of ascent and 120 miles crossing eleven mountain passes on their fourteen days of continuous strenuous walking.
Each day they had to clock up between 5-9hrs walking, stopping at a mix of small hotels and mountain huts along the way.
Before their trip, they were busy training on their local hill – The Wrekin, supplemented by various challenges in both North and South Wales, such as the South Wales Three Peaks, The Welsh Three Peaks and some excursions into the wilder and more remote parts of Snowdonia.
